2.3 Activity, Promotions, and Demotions

Minimum activity expectations, leave of absence, and promotion criteria within the department.

It is the expectation that all officers log a minimum of TWO (2) HOURS every two weeks. Failure to meet these expectations will result in a STRIKE. The strike will then last for two more weeks, and if the two hour requirement is not met, then the officer will be terminated from the department. Should the two hour requirement be met the following two-week period, the strike will be removed.

You may request Leave of Absence by reaching out to a member of High Command (Captain+). This will help Command know when we can expect you to be working, and any expectations of activity will be suspended.

Promotions

Promotions are rewarded for outstanding professionalism and dedication within the department. Showing your skills and commitment is how promotions are earned. To be eligible for promotion, the last four (4) weeks must each have two (2) hours of logged duty time. To progress beyond Senior Corrections Officer, strong leadership, unwavering commitment, and utmost professionalism is necessary.
